Essay competition
For current SS3 students, other than ANNCO students. The essay is no more than 700 words, on whether the younger generations are the problem, or whether our elders have failed us. Add a two-minute video on why you should be chosen.
The top five have their WAEC, NECO and JAMB fees paid, and each receives ₦10,000. Submissions close on 15 November 2026. Use the form below, or write to the scholarship address.

Widows
A gathering for widowed older women, with meals and care. It is in Ikere-Ekiti on Sunday 13 December 2026.

Social event
Ayo opon, ludo, snooker, table tennis, dance, draught, a live band, and FIFA. Friday 11 December 2026 at Faaji Lounge, opposite AyoFill Foods, University Road, Ikere. The lounge is offering 20% off.
The work
Each year, winners have their WAEC, NECO and JAMB fees paid, and each receives a ₦10,000 token.
Widowed older women in Ikere-Ekiti receive meals and care from the foundation. It is steady support in the town, offered among the women themselves.
The foundation also brings people together: community football, school visits, an interschool competition, and gatherings in Ikere.
About
The late Adekunle Filegbe was a son of Ikere-Ekiti. The foundation is registered in his memory as Adekunle Filegbe Empowerment Foundation, number 191610.
